In the centre of the lake Edersee, opposite to the castle of Waldeck, the peninsula Scheid is located. For the most part, it is occupied by a parcelled structure of individual designed leisure residences. This is optically interweaved by the green nature of the flora. Accessible areas of the coast are used as a pier and a (public) beach. The site, which is ca. 3 hectares large, is located in the southern east of the peninsula. It is temporary used as a meadow by an agricultural farm and extends from the top of the hill to the coast of the lake. There is a beautiful view over the lake and to the castle. In addition to this, there is a church in the middle of the building site called “Kirche Unterwegs“ (“Church on the Road“).
